HOW TO BUY CANTILEVER RACKING
Measure your longest load
Cantilever arms should support loads so that no more than half the column spacing overhangs each end. For 6m timber, columns around 1.5–2m apart with four columns per run is typical. Tell us lengths and we'll set the spacing.
Work out arm length and capacity
Arm length should match the depth of your load — never let stock overhang the arm tip. Capacity is set per arm and per column side, so the weight of each bundle matters more than the total.
Single or double-sided?
Single-sided runs sit against walls; double-sided runs are loaded from both aisles and store almost twice as much in the same footprint. Double-sided is usually the better value for open warehouses and yards.
Indoor or outdoor
For yards choose hot-dip galvanised cantilever, which resists corrosion for decades. Add a roof canopy if you need to keep timber or plasterboard dry.
Typical prices (ex VAT)
